Are you ready to make it a great year?
Do you know what you would like to achieve this year?
I personally don't like New Year's Resolutions, but I do like New Year's Intentions. I like to give my year a direction so that I can plod slowly but surely in that direction.
If we don't have a direction, we are more likely to let external circumstances determine where we go. We easily get trapped into the habit of running away from the things we fear or don't like, instead of plodding forwards towards what we do want.
Here is simple tool I learnt from Dean Graziosi to identify goals / intentions for this coming year
- Pretend it to be next year December. You are looking back onto a great year. List what made this year such a great year for you. These are now you goals / intentions for the New Year.
- Pretend you have nothing to fear, what are the first (small) steps you would take towards these goals. These are now the first action steps you are going to take. Make it fun, enjoyable and achievable, so that we will continue plodding along, instead of running away (again).
- Keep looking for the small steps you can take in the direction of your intentions / goals you set for the year.
